Social Media and Google Analytics

Well after discussing website issues with a few people as to what troubles they are having with their  sites I heard a few common problems and questions.

1.  One question has been around Google Analytics.

Your website should be growing with your business not just a stale accessory that you have created that you never look at again. It needs to be updated and looked after. Especially as Google is changing the way Google search and analytics is changing. And I must say it’s not in your favour.

Google is pushing us away from traditional organic SEO tactics to more the paid search engine results making Google more dollars. Not sure if you have noticed the not provided search result in your analytics.

This is Google locking you out of some of your search results. Since 2012 Google has been adding your results to this not provided category. So really Google is stealing your search terms. Can we change this I hear you ask. Well we can help you to get your search terms back but unfortunately not all, Google has us at their mercy.
Get in contact with us to see how we can help you with your Analytics.

2. What you need to ask about your website

Ok you have your website, whether is just gone live or has been around for awhile. Maybe you think it should be doing so much better than it is. Your site visits are low or maybe they are great but you aren’t getting the conversions from the site that you think you should be getting.

Here are a few questions you should ask yourself.

  1. What kind of challenges is your site facing?
  2. What would you like to see improved?
  3. What other issues are important to you?
  4. Are you marketing your website? If so how?

Ask yourself these questions and write down your answers and a recommendation on how they may be fixed.

Search Engine Marketing (aka SEO) and Social Media Marketing (aka SEM) may benefit your site and business.
