Adobe Business Catalyst is the end in sight?

Is the end of Adobe Business Catalyst drawing near?

Here at Kursor Creative we have been a premium partner of Adobe Business Catalyst for over 4 years and have had an awesome time building sites with it.

With a lot of changes within the Adobe Business Catalyst platform lately members are speculating that Adobe is looking at either close or sell off the platform.

Whilst this is still in the early stages and discussions we will be only supporting existing Business Catalyst sites and have made the decision to no longer develop new website in the content management system (cms) which is a shame as we have been a premium partner since 2011.

One of the big changes being discussed on numerous forums has been that since Adobe is ceasing their yearly billing and switching only having monthly that this is the beginning of the end for Business Catalyst. Adobe has promised a lot over the last 18 months and don’t appear to be keeping up the same pace with other established content management systems like WordPress and Drupal.

We have made the strategic decision to move to WordPress content management system as our preferred cms but we will revisit the use of Business Catalyst in the near future.

We hope that this isn’t the final decision that Adobe make but we are looking towards the future for your websites.
